Jul 2nd 2008 4:44PM I was born and raised in Tirana, Albania. Lived in the contry untill 1999. I have heard about the blood feuds only in movies and TV. Have never been in Northern part of Albania, wish to go some day becasue I was told for some Austrians friends of mine that is beautiful. The blood feud has happend in only in the deep deep northern Albania has never happened in Tirana, has nothin to do with Tirana. It will be like assuming that the whole US applies polygamism or anything extreme like that. Blood feud is a sad part of the Northern Albania does not represent the whole culture and it is a sad part of that northern culture that the goverment has been trying to fight for a long time.I have noticed you have written 5 or 6 articles these last weeks. I have not been impressed because you are not bringing us the whole true about Albania's ancient history and culture. I read a very fair article from NEW YORK TIMES that was fair and chose Tirana and Albania as the BUDGET DESTINATION for 2007 and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC water destination for 2008. Very reputable news resources have valued and understood what Albania is about. You did not do that.

Jeffry I think you need shrink, something is wrong with you for writing only negative stuff about Albania. I'm going to Tirana in July. I will be glad to meet you and show you some interesting stuff. reading the whole article I did not see any facts or truth. Anybody
that has been in Albania has seen the beauty, history and culture of
the country. What is your purpose of writing this article? Go to
YOUTUBE and you will see some of the most fantastic views you have
ever seen in your life.
I am an albanian and was born in Tirana. Property values have
increased by 100% only in the last two years. There are many real
estate companys that are entering the country like Colliers
international and Remax. Club Med has another huge investment.
You my dear "journalist" seem to be the only dark thing in your

I used to think that you were a funny guy but this video made me change my mind. I am an albanian and I would suggest you go to Albania and visit the country which has been recently called " The latest jewel of Mediterranian" We have a lot of Laguna and Newport beaches, of course not the development but we are working on that.
The "love" of albanians for americans has to do with the support the US goverment has given to Albania since the 1920, facts are very important in journalism, you probaly "know" that. Get the facts before making fun. If any of you people that do not like Bush are offended by this " enthusiasm" I have to tell you that there were a lot of Bill and Hillary Clinton portraits to say thank you for the Clinton support in Kosovo. As I said,facts, informations are very usefull in journalism or whatever is that you call yourself.

Jun 13th 2007 4:23PM I suggest you educate yourself first about the history,culture and the people of Albania before you start making fun of them. An opinion counts only when you have the accurate informations and facts which it seems you do not have. If I can only start with funny things about americans I would not be done by tommorrow and I have all the facts. Be open minded and encourage a country that is building democracy even though historically has been challenging. WE are not agressors,we have a beautiful country with incredible natural and human resources. The love of albanians for americans goes back in 1920 with Wilson,1939 and later on. But I do not expect for you to know any of these facts. Obviously yuou have nothing more interesting to write.
