Jan 9th 2013 9:24AM I agree that you can find good food and drink in SLC -- when we do our various road trips, we frequently stay there for a night or more.
Although we are not Mormon - a trip to Temple Square is a wonderful way to spend the day (last trip we added another day just to see more). And, if you time it right, you can go to the Temple Choir rehearsal, which is quite an experience.
May 4th 2008 10:43AM The comment in the "blog" as to "No word yet on whether the Gularte family was allowed to eat at all while on board" is as stupid as the lawsuit. Of course they could eat == NCL has several fancy restaurants, the buffet restaurant, the "short stops" and room service -- all included in the regular fare and no extra cost as in the theme restaurants. And, even in the "non-theme" fancy sit-down restaurants, if you want to eat between 7 - 8:30 you must make a reservation -- or wait in line for 15-30 min. When you go at 9:00pm there is never a wait. First night and late almost every night there is space in the theme restaurants for walk-in.
Lawsuit is frivolous and lawyer should be called on the carpet for even entertaining such a suit. He is of the ilk that has caused costs to go up in almost every arena = medical, workman's comp for all industries, signs about hot coffee because peopel are stupid and greedy.
Jun 10th 2007 11:51AM The various methos discussed above are "diets". A thing one does untile they lose weight and then go back to "normal" eating.
The Zone method is NOT a diet, but a way of life. Originally Dr. Sears wrote the method for use by other physicians for heart patients. Then, it became public -- unfortunatly there is now a Zone website with all kinds of supplements for sale -- but still, get down to the basics of good eating balanced properly. If you can arrange your life to accomodate the tenets of the Zone method, you will reach the right weight for your body and balance the hormone and insulin levels which will keep your body (and mind) functioning at their max. Books and diet are by Barry Sears, Ph.D and you can find out more about the diet from The Weight Loss Institute at www.weight-loss-institute.com/zone_diet.htm
