Port Orange HOA Tells Residents Yard Statues Aren't Allowed {AOL Real Estate}
Apr 6th 2013 9:31AM HOA's are so intrusive and controlling that IMHO living in one of those communities would LOWER your property values. I've lived in the same neighborhood for 14 years and we have a common entrance to our little cul de sac. When we want to pretty it up or change anything, we throw a party and invite everyone. Then we have a meeting at the party to decide what to do with our entryway. Lately, we have had a landscaper come periodically to do planting and maintain it and divide the cost equally between us. No homeowner association dues. We save our money to keep our properties in good repair. Some folks have a little veggie garden in their front yard. No one complains. If someone wanted a statue, I'm sure it would be fine.
Tenants' Rights in Eviction: When Do Landlords Go Too Far? {AOL Real Estate}
Feb 5th 2013 1:30PM This lady's place does not look as those she has mistreated it. In fact, it looks lovingly cared for. She pays her rent on time. I think our sympathy is well placed in this regard.

Plan to Build Home on Top of Historic Heard Cemetery in Sandy Springs, Ga., Enrages Neighbors {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 7th 2012 12:43PM I live in Brookhaven, GA and not far from this cemetery. We have a lovely old cemetery in our neighborhood too. I wonder what Christopher Mills would think if what he is doing happened in his neighborhood. He's not from around here. What a jerk. And now he's saying he does not want anyone on the property. We need to get a good title attorney to fight for this title, if indeed it cannot be taxed, therefore a lien is illegal. If there are enough lawsuits it can be tied up in court for years, costing Mr. Mills dollars and time, and blocking his request for permits. Was it worth it, you insensitive and self-centered man, to get a piece of property illegally for $1? I hope it ends up costing you dearly.
Hotels That Serve Glorified Prison Food For Breakfast {Gadling}
Aug 18th 2012 11:55AM Stayed at Embassy Suites in Charleston, SC this Spring and the breakfast was delightful. We had lots of choices, the grits were perfect, and it was always frest. Good coffee as well.

Aug 18th 2012 11:49AM So, technically I could stay at your B&B with my granddaughter if it was just the two of us? You would have no objection to that?
Jail Time for Phoenix Man Who Hosted Bible Study at His Home {AOL Real Estate}
Jul 8th 2012 7:58AM What if a person wanted to have a party, or hold a wedding reception at their house? The same concerns would apply in both those cases. I hope these people stand up for their rights and fight this tooth and nail. Its not just about religious freedom. First Amendment rights are about the right to peaceably assemble too, for any reason. I would respectfully submit that the law in question is unconstitutional and should be struck down by local officials.
New Parents Eat More, Exercise Less Than Their Childless Peers {ParentDish}
Apr 11th 2011 5:42PM Forgot to say, additionally, I'm NOT fat! Can't get fat when you're on the move all the time. And we eat better than we've ever eaten...I've had 59 years to study nutrition and to experiment. I like to eat fresh yummy food.

Apr 11th 2011 5:20PM JT, your mom was one organized and incredible woman! I too, did the cloth diapers, but I only had 2 children, worked part time too, cooked healthy meals most of the time (we had a healthy restaurant that I could call for take out on my way home from work if I was just too worn out), and kept the house reasonably clean, considering that I own a local maid service and that's what I do all day long. Now I am raising my granddaughter and still running my company, doing all the mommy things I always did. It can be done, you just need to stay organized and have back up plans A, B, and C. You can be proud to be raised by such an amazing mom.
