Olive Garden & Red Lobster to raise prices after a painful quarter {WalletPop}
Sep 19th 2008 8:25AM With all of the outstanding local seafood available in New England, why would you want to eat at Red Lobster? All of their "fresh" seafood is frozen.
Olive Garden & Red Lobster to raise prices after a painful quarter {WalletPop}
Sep 19th 2008 8:21AM There's no relationship between good food (of any ethnic derivation) and the slop served at the Olive Garden. They could have "free day" and I wouldn't eat there.
Love the snow globe, but don't hand carry it on an airplane {Gadling}
Nov 19th 2007 3:47PM As I was sitting on a Delta flight from Cincinnati to Greensboro 2 weeks ago, a young lady was last to board. She said to her companions that she had to repack the snow globes she picked up at Charles DeGaulle airport (obviously in the secure area since she had been making a connection there as well.)
She had purchased several Paris snow globes to give as Christmas presents...almost missed her connection to repack.
A Question for Hillary Clinton {Politics Daily}
Nov 12th 2007 12:14PM So what? The Bush Whitehouse had Jeff Gannon, a gay prostitute pretending to be a member of the accredited press corps. With regard to politics, there is nothing new under the sun.
Giuliani, McCain Land Big Endorsements {Politics Daily}

Bush Gallups to Historic Disapproval Rating {Politics Daily}
Nov 7th 2007 12:12PM He's, hands down, the worst president in history.
He has squandered all of the world's goodwill, engendered after 9-11. His high marks for the proper invasion of Afghanistan to go directly after Osama bin Laden and his Taliban protectors are more than offset by his BONEHEADED decision to invade Iraq.
He will be judged totally by his ham handed foreign policy blunder of invading Iraq. He broke it. He bought it.
Worst Airports {Gadling}
Nov 7th 2007 12:05AM I use Atlanta a lot. It's far from the worst airport in the world. It's just boring if you're stuck during a weather or ATC delay. Not much entertainment.
Vegas at least has slot machines to pass the time.
Charlotte has nice rocking chairs in the main passenger concourse. Nice touch.
LaGuardia can be cramped.
Pittsburgh is nice, but under utilized since USAirways dropped it as a hub. (I wish someone would restart non-stop service from Greensboro to Pittsburgh someday)
Akron Canton is great. 15 minutes from landing to the freeway.
Greensboro, NC...another nice, but underused airport. Skybus (no frills) is adding flights...even a non-stop daily to Burbank, CA in January.
DFW...hate those HUGE, violent thunderstorms that seem to last forever.
DIA...could they put an airport any farther away from the rest of Colorado? (Hard to find a gas station anywhere near the airport, except for the on-site convenience store-gas station near the rental car lots). In this time of $3 gas, it'd be nice if you had more choice to shop for a better price to top out the rental gas tank.
That's my rant. Have a nice day.
Gadling's guide to getting bumped {Gadling}
Nov 1st 2007 2:29PM A few years ago, my wife and I were traveling to Munich via Atlanta. When we arrived at our Atlanta departure gate, Delta was asking for volunteers to be rerouted through Paris to Munich because our non-stop was oversold. This meant we would arrive in Munich around 3 hours later than our original plan. The airline was offering flight vouchers for the bump. We volunteered but instead of taking the flight vouchers (set amount of money towards a future flight) we asked instead if we could fly overseas business class. They said sure...no problem. Then the 8 or so passengers who were behind us in line, volunteering for the bump, asked for the same thing. We ended up flying comfortably over the Atlantic, got good night's sleep, etc. In Paris we were given Air France Lounge privileges and arrived in Munich rested and well fed. Sometimes a bump can work well, as it did this time. We even made friends for a day with our fellow "bumpees" crossing in business class.
Time to Say Farewell to Wahoo {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

I'm an Italian-American. If I had a dollar for every Italian caricature I see on pizza boxes, restaurant signs, etc. I'd be as wealthy as Warren Buffet.
