Auberge du Soleil - Napa Valley, California (6 of 10)
I mean ... just look at it. "Auberge du Soleil" does not, contrary to popular belief, mean "eggplant of the sun." "Auberge" means "hostel" in French; all the more reason for you to lie down next to this pool and soak up some rays. This hotel has an outdoor sculpture garden and two private maisons (houses), appropriately named Champagne and Loire, which have "1,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor space and French doors that lead to a trellised terrace with a sunken hot-tub and sweeping views of the Napa Valley. These free standing Maisons offer a spacious master bedroom with fireplace and sitting area. The large master bath features an oversized tub, steam shower for two, double sink, dressing vanity and walk-in closet. The graciously appointed living room features a fireplace, sitting area, dining alcove, built-in bar, refrigerator and espresso machine." The price for a private house at Auberge du Soleil? $3,500 - $4,500, depending upong the season.
Fun fact: All rooms include fresh fruit daily and a toaster. A toaster! 06/07/09
