A man drinks beer while bearing it all in an area known as 'the pit' at the Hofbraeuhaus tent on the opening day of the 2004 Oktoberfest September 18, 2004 in Munich, Germany. Tradition has it that anyone drinking in 'the pit' must relinquish his or her undergarments. The annual event, which lasts 16 days, draws over 6 million visitors. Sean Gallup/Getty Images 10/09/07
