Colorado is known for being an outdoor lover's paradise, and Crested Butte is no different. A former coal mining town, Crested Butte is today a great recreational town -- no matter what the season -- that keeps its down to earth roots. Crested Butte Mountain attracts skiers and snowboarders alike, and its 121 trails are easy to get to with the help of the town's free shuttle bus.
