Richard and Pat Nixon got married at the Mission Inn in what is now the Presidential Lounge. Ronald and Nancy Reagan honeymooned here. But perhaps the quirkiest bit of presidential history at the Mission Inn involves William Howard Taft. The inn had a chair specially made for the USA's portliest president when he visited in 1909. The giant oak and leather chair sits outside the Presidential Lounge and is a popular attraction with guests.
