The oven

Passengers are always asking me to put things in the refrigerator or in the microwave and I always tell them no, because there are no refrigerators or microwaves on our flights. If we need to keep something cold we use use or dry ice. To warm something up we use hot water or an oven - if we have an oven. On many of our flights the ovens (in coach) have been taken off the aircrafts in order to save fuel - less weight, less fuel. Here is an oven on a 767 that has been turned into a "refrigerator" by using a metal oven rack and ice. That's my salad, the one I bought in the airport terminal, inside. 20/11/08
