Passengers

Meet Joe. He owns a hardware store in California and he's one of my most memorable passengers of 2008. He made about 200 origami birds using colorful fliers from his hardware store. When he was done, he gave me a stack of birds wrapped together with a rubber band and asked me to hand them out to the kids onboard the flight. The kids loved his paper birds. So did the woman who was going to San Francisco to visit a nursing home where her mother lived. "My mother and her friends will get a kick out of these," she said. 20/11/08
