The lowest pilot job

Can you imagine being at the bottom of your Luftwaffe class and being assigned to 'fly' this? This is an engine less autogyro that folded up on Nazi submarines. They put the pilot in it and then reeled them out like a kite above to increase the visibility of the submarine. If the sub had to dive at the last minute, the pilot was released and hopefully picked up later. I think I would have rather taken my chances in a Stuka (dive bomber).
