Public transport on strike at your destination

UGH. You finally make it out of the arrivals lounge, and plan to make your way to the train station. Then you notice 5,000 people waiting for a cab and a closed station entrance. Chances are you are in Europe in the middle of a strike. It once took me 8 hours just to get from the airport to my hotel (normally a 25 minute train ride). What a horrible way to start your vacation. 11/06/09
