In the world of tourist destinations, the Apple store is king

Pick the odd one out: 5th Ave. Apple Store, Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central, Empire State Building.

If you picked the Apple store on 5th Ave. -- you were wrong. Of those landmarks, the Statue of Liberty is the one that does not belong in the five most photographed New York locations. As insane as it may sound, the gorgeous Apple Store is indeed, the fifth most photographed thing in New York. If that number doesn't amaze you, you'll probably freak out when you hear that this store is the 28th most photographed thing in the world.

But once you think about it -- tourist destinations are about things you can't see back home, things that stand out, amazing architecture, brilliant designs, and in many ways, the glass box of the Apple Store really isn't all that different from the glass triangle building of the Louvre, or the architecture of the Centre Pompidou.
