We
rarely go anywhere without the kids and I'm have a desperate need to, not just go to a hot spot, but go to the HIPPEST
spot available. I need numero uno, folks.<br /><br />So help me out. Those of you who are still single and hip. Those
of you who aspire to be. Where is the absolute best, top, trendier-than-thou hipper-than-hip place to sip a cocktail in
Portland, Oregon? I'm considering the following:<br />
<ul>
    <li><a
href="http://www.dougfirlounge.com/restaurant.html">Doug Fir Lounge</a>, 830 E Burnside</li>
    <li><a
href="http://www.mintrestaurant.com/">820 / Mint</a>, 820 N Russell</li>
    <li><a
href="http://www.ripepdx.com/ripe.html">clarklewis</a> (although we've been there), 1001 SE Water</li>
</ul>
Opinions?
Other ideas? Let me know!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.gadling.com/2006/04/06/hippest-spot-in-portland-oregon/">Hippest Spot in... But first, I gazed in awe at the ivy-covered Ivy-ness of the <a
href="http://www.princeton.edu/main/visiting/">University</a>. <br /><br /><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1"
src="http://www.gadling.com/media/2006/03/princeton_smallworld_bar.jpg" alt="" /><br />It's beautiful, of course, but
we were looking for gems, and hidden ones, at that. Brad's favorite spot (and mine, as well): <a
href="http://www.smallworldcoffee.com/index.htm">Small World Coffee</a>, 14 Witherspoon St., where the lattes are
poured fast and the Rice Krispie treats are served in gigantic cubes.<p><a href="http://www.gadling.com/2006/03/27/hidden-gems-princeton-new-jersey-a-photo-essay/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hidden Gems: Princeton, New Jersey, a photo essay</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.gadling.com/2006/03/27/hidden-gems-princeton-new-jersey-a-photo-essay/">Hidden Gems: Princeton, New Jersey, a photo essay</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.gadling.com">Gadling</a> on Mon, 27 Mar 2006 18:01:00 EST.
