Japan rocks. this year me and my partner were at a resort called Iwatake. My girl had bought her card to pay for lift tickets. She had forgot to notify the bank back home in Australia that she was travelling so they had put a stop to it. After several tries at several machines with no result, we asked for a phone to call the bank back home. They had no phone that could call international so there was nothing to do, except go back to our lodge (30mins away) and sort it out. As we made to leave, a lady from the info center came running out with 2 lift chips that she had bought with her own money. She said we could have them as long as we returned them at the end of the day and bought her cash next time we came. Just like that, no questions asked. So we took the tickets and returned them after we had finished. The next day we returned to Tsugaike Kogen with cash and a box of chocolates for her. She was so awesome.
