I remember when I was in the 5th grade they showed us a film about " The Weather" and how in the near future they would be able to control it, in places where there was a drought they would be able to fly into the clouds and seed them to produce rain, they also said how they would be able to control the weather so that there would be no hurricanes or other storms. Well sad to say I am now 69 years old and they still can't predict the weather over night. As someone once said being a weather man is the only job where you can made one mistake after another and still keep their jobs.
