My daughter has very long, blonde, curly hair and very blue eyes. She is a STAR when traveling in South America and Asia. Hordes of kids and swarms of papparazzi surround her. In more remote areas with few tourists from the US, she has sometimes been so mobbed that our sightseeing comes to a complete stop because she can't escape!

Visiting Chan Chan, an ancient city in Peru, after seeing so many people asking for photos with our daughter, the guide told her to start saying "one dollar!" when photos were requested. The guide thought it was hilarious after seeing tourists hit up for money for taking pictures of locals that we could turn the tables on them.
