I have traveled to many countries and I agree Nepal is by far the least expensive. However depending on the trips that you decide to do it can add up fast. We wanted to take the Mt flight and see Everest. It was amazing but a little costly. We decided not to take a helicopter because of the expense but found a great flight that took 10 of us up. I have some great pictures if you want to see them on http://www.ronnieaffee.com
I just found your blog because I'm wanting to go on another trip soon and looking to travel with my brother but we are trying to keep it cheap. Central America as you mentioned is very cheap besides Costa Rica. We are planning to head in this direction. Lucky like you we live in Orlando and flight s are cheap. About the same as Tampa.
Can't wait to get my hands on your new book.
