yes you must take your shoes off... it is for security reasons... you must go thru a body scan.. this will show weapons and metal..every one must go thru this. lets try to advoid another sept 11 01 . no one is exempted from these security checks. if there is any thing that looks to be a security threat. you will be questioned. every one must go thru this securty check.people have so many ways to sneak wepons on a plane. evan wheel chair citizens. this means you also baby boo boo
