When friends and relatives heard that my husband and I would be visiting the Bajio region of Mexico in the states of Queretero and Guanajuato earlier this year, they mostly only wanted to know where they should send the ransom money and whether we had repatriation of remains travel insurance. We had a lovely time, traveled by bus between towns and found the people welcoming and helpful. One way to defeat the cartels is to visit Mexico. Support for Mexico's tourism industry fortifies the government's and peoples' resolve to fight to prevent the insidious takeover of any more of their country by the Forces of Darkness.
