OK, we can agree airlines are in busness to make money. So the more seats on the plane, the more money they make per flight. Not everyone fit into these seats. Airlines have some planes with different classes, first class, the most expensive, so forth down the line. A few larger seats to aid the larger traveler will help . Charge a little more for the seats, does any one want to bet that a person who can comfortly fix in the smaller seat, will pay more for the larger seat, so they can be more comfortable.
Mind you we can all complain, the ones who need to change things fly in private jets with crew and maybe 3 or 4 passengers on a plane that could carry 12 passengers with room to spare
