I have sat next to heavy people who asked me if it was okay if they sat next to me. I would always try to accomodate them. Sometimes, it would work out. Other times, they saw it would not work and told me that they understood.
Other times, the crew intervened and said it would not work.
I never want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I have to have room, too.
Perhaps, in the future, the seats could be made bigger.
I hope there can be a kind solution.
