TSA Officers Fired After Stealing From Passengers
Have you ever arrived at your destination to find items missing from your suitcase and thought, "I wonder how that happened?" It turns out, you may have been a victim of TSA theft.
ABC News, as seen in the clip above, conducted an investigation into the security of airport screening stations. New figures show that 381 TSA officers have been fired after stealing from passengers and their luggage. The investigation tracked checked bags with iPads and cash, and also went through security checkpoints with these items in carry-on luggage.
In nine of ten cases, the items made it to their destination safely. But in Orlando, an iPad left behind ended up in the hands of a security officer. Using a device-tracking app on the iPad, investigators traced the iPad to the home of the security officer last seen with the device. After denying that he stole the item, the officer was caught red-handed when the alert for the device was heard from inside his home.
Thankfully, the officer has been terminated. We're sure this will lead to further TSA investigations, but for now, we'd suggest putting valuable items in the safety of your well-guarded carry-on bag.

LOL, BUSTED! Give some people a badge and a clipboard and they think it's a license to steal. And it's not only TSA - anyone ever check out how much of the inmate's property goes missing in prison, and later turns up at the C/O's place? "Oh, I dunno how it got there.."
Yeah, right!

Maybe if the TSA paid more than minimum wage they'd get better help...it might also help if they weren't all foreigners as well...but then, you get what you pay for ,don't you?

Fired for theft is good, if any of the rest of us stole from another traveler and we were caught we would be arrested and charged with a crime. Why is the TSA person in this story being allowed to walk? If you steal when you get caught, you get arrested, that is how our legal system works. As traveling Americans we are forced to put our trust and faith in the TSA staff and because we have little choice in the matter when it comes to trust issues the TSA staff should be held to an even higher standard the the general population. It appears in this case the standard is lower.

THAT TSA employee needs to be prosecuted just like any american would be. he stole and he did so in a position of public service. this is the begining of the lock down of america as you fools ran to vote for the stupid bushes. Trickle down economics was freely voiced and americans the sheeple that they are didnt even notice it.

Awww man! I wish I had an oppertunity of working where that man worked!! I cant stand a thief and a liar. There isnt enough things or money to be stollen when youre on the job. None of those things are worth the pay check you are depending on to make a living.

I always put valuable items in check on bags. However when my husband
was checked after refusing one of those full body scans (from the big machine),
he was moved to another area (forget the city he's been he flies so much) so he
couldn't keep his eyes on his items. Nothing was taken. I never have my iPad
go through security by itself but always keep it in a larger case. Once on CNN I
saw an iPad go through before the owner, with the passenger before grabbing the
iPad from the conveyor belt and run off quickly; the owner yelled but the thief
ran too fast. It is sad that we there are thieves out there, ready to grab.

I hear you Jeanne... and yes it is a sad state of affairs, but if it's any comfort, it has come to my attention that Karma is real so that eventually no one gets away with anything. ALL actions, be they good or bad, have repercussions but because in this world it is rarely instant people mistakenly think they get away with poor behaviour , or.. are unrewarded for good behavior, but .. nope. Those who chose Good eventually triumph while those who chose Evil suffer that choice. It's NOT about a "judgmental" God.. its about this Divine Universe constantly seeking balance... via cause and effect.
One can only have compassion for those fools who think they can do wrong while alluding the consequences of their actions. The bullies of this world typically take a long painful time learning that lesson, most often wondering why true peace and happiness continue to elude them.
Nothing here is what it appears to be. There is ultimately a perfect justice. What can I say... stay tuned, remain OPEN : )

Victor says: I sure as heck do not worry I am willing to share the world and smile at another person whether I know them or not.I dont live in fear I dont use my mind or heart for that type of seeing.
FR: Yes we agree here Victor for sure..... those who chose fear have already lost. The Bushes and the Cheneys thrive on and control through fear. They know it gets votes. What ever happened to America.. the home of the free and the BRAVE?
