Having been to NZ 4 or 5 times over the last decade, going on the wildlife tours and walks and cruises is the best reason to go. Having said that, the variety of fascinating museums and other urban activities run a close second. Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin have great museums. Blenheim, Nelson and Otago have unbelievably tasty and inexpensive wines. Craft cheeses , beers and chocolates are everywhere. I look forward to reading of your adventures. And I have been "Zorbing" in Rotorua. Try everything once.

Thanks for your excellent comment, agreed on all counts! Glad to hear NZ has made you a repeat visitor, I'd return even if I didn't have family in the country, especially for summer. Perhaps I'll go back for the Zorbing when the baby is old enough to do it with me!
