If I leave a hotel room and leave an above normal mess. ( Having a couple meat ball and veal parmigiana sandwiches that where running with sauce ) I used towels as giant napkins making it look like a blood fest in the room with sauce all over a few towels I would leave an apology note and a five dollar bill as a courtesy tip for the extra mess. I have only done this twice. Both times at the same hotel in Staten Island NY, Thus the great sandwiches LOL.
