Oh my gosh this sounds exactly like when I traveled alone to England to study abroad for a summer in 1998. Way to go for taking that difficult step!!! I was so scared that the night before I barfed out all the pizza I had at my going away party - no lie. I was a nervous wreck!!! But long story short - it wound up being the most enriching experience of my life. I still do get scared about doing things I know i would enjoy , it takes a ton of inspiration to work up to it.
