Profound silence at the top? Hearing rocks and pebbles tumble into the abyss? Makes for nice writing but the video taken at the top kind of discounts that as the sound of the wind dominates the background. I climbed it in 2011 and its anything but quiet at the top. Also, the smoke warning seems bogus, Elementos tooks us up, were very competent and no such discussion took place. Merely, avoid breathing it as much as possible. It is no doubt and awesome and challenging climb and i congratulate you on the climb but no need to embellish what in itself is a great hike and achievement.
P.s. Hope you rode back down on the crazy carpets! Also hope u enjoyed a crater in nearby Pucon.
