EMV chips are a bad Idea. It's like walking around with your credit card number painted on your forehead. I was on a RCCL Cruise and someone grabbed my cc info from my EMV chip as they walked by me. A few months later they had duplicated my card in Brazil and Charged over $600 at fuel and restaurant locations. American Express quickly caught this fraud and removed the charges. Thanks AMEX! My new card was overnighted and now has no EMV chip.
