This is a lot of fun. Thanks to all that have left comments here and thanks for visiting Gadling. Quite a fun debate here and I don't think we'll all agree on this one. Some posters here believe that speed limits are sacrosanct and that there's no reason for anyone to move over to accomodate law breaking. But where do you draw the line? Is it OK to go 5 mph over the limit but not 10? Or is 10 ok but not 15?
My point is that one can be an unsafe driver going below the limit and you can also drive safely going above the speed limit. Drivers need to be considerate and move right for those who want to go faster than they do. As long as they aren't doing anything to jeopardize your safety or the safety of other drivers, how fast they go should be none of your concern. You can't police other drivers unless you have a badge.
