10 Essential Destinations In Mexico
While many think of Mexico as a country that's too dangerous to visit, there are actually many beautiful, safe and historically rich cities worth making a trip for. While Tulum features one of the most well preserved ancient civilizations in the country, Copper Canyon features an extreme adventure park inside its ravine. Additionally, Guadalajara boasts magic villages, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 684 historical monuments, while Guanajuato has an entire underground road system and an active mining community. These are just some of the experiences to be had in these worthwhile cities in Mexico.

Good! We retired to this little known (and not telling!) town and it is charming, safe (not one murder in the 6 yrs we've been here) and CHEAP! Stay up there with all the whack jobs (-: Meanwhile, we can fill our gas tanks and our bellies and have lots left over, while living in our home on the beach!

there is no way I would EVER go to Mexico! So many other places to visit. why go to a place where you take your life in your hands every waking hour.

Don't believe everything you hear in the news. I go to Mexico every year -- Cabo, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta -- and they are some of the most beautiful places and totally safe. You are really missing out by not seeing the beauty there. I just returned from a 2-week visit and believe me, there were not guns or scarey stuff going on. Seriously, the news makes everything seem doom and gloom, when it really isn't.

Lived and worked in south Texas for 20 plus years. Traveled to Mexico frequently
for R& R. Really enjoyed the country and most of all the people. Enter multiple groups of folks hell bent on making money from drugs and the don't give one iota
who or how things gets in their way, it is handled in the same maner no matter what. "A BULLET !"" That is Mexico today. Wish it were different, but such is not to be until the cartels are captured or killed off. Its that simple. They love "Gringos" for ransom purposes. Safety being the better part of valor, I can think of other destinations that are far safer than Mexico. Why take a known risk
of life and limb.

Nope. No interest in going to Mexico at all. Aside from all the drug cartel kwap, enough of our money gets sent down there HOURLY by illegals up here. We need all of it we can keep in our own country.

No Mexico for me. I'm a gringo. They don't need no stinking badges

I value my loved one's, as well as my life, too much to venture across that border.

I live in Wisconsin.... we go to Mexico at least twice a year (Caribbean side) and love it, feel very safe. I'm glad those of you that won't travel to Mexico because of the crime and drugs, all live in places that don't have that.... cause here in Wisconsin we have our fair share of gangs, drugs, murder. so where do you live that is so safe???

I cannot believe the all of you "simple-minded people" who have no sense of Mexico geography. You're so naive to believe all you hear & read in media. All of Mexico is not unsafe, there are only a small number of certain areas that you need to stay away from...really. Don't live in such a small world. Open your eyes.
