Video: Lucky Driver Barely Escapes Charging Elephant
The YouTube description says that this video was shot in southern India, although the animal in question certainly looks more like an African elephant. I had a very similar experience to this one on the road in Kruger National Park in South Africa and I can tell you that passengers in our van screamed like school girls as we barely managed to avoid our pursuer. I have a feeling that there were a few similar screams in this van as well.

Maybe it was you in the van. From this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6L23l2xDGs it seems it was actually filmed in Kruger Park in 2007.

Indeed this is not an "Elephas Elephas Asiaticus" but its much larger cousin a "Loxodonta Africana."

Lol, It actually looks like the elephant is waiting for cars to come by and he jumps out and scares them........

This video is a fraud. It has been speed enhanced (with sound editing) from the original video taken from 5 years ago. Here is the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6L23l2xDGs Loxodonta Africana cannot move this fast. Watch the original and see how it actually occurred. This is an example of internet media being used to get hits to sell advertising. Don't play into this game. Everyone! Please get a life and stop clicking on this stuff. Bread and Circuses!!!
