Symphony Orchestra Plays In The Copenhagen Tube
Much of the music heard on public transportation is less than comforting to the ears. A drummer banging loudly on buckets, a man singing a monotonous melody, a woman making vibrations on a saw, or a barbershop quartet that can't seem to sing in tune. True, there is a lot of good music played underground (particularly by those who have permits or well-known artists who play incognito), but I've never seen anything like the above video of a symphony orchestra playing in the Copenhagen tube. The entire video – including sound – was recorded on location, and as you'll see, it seems to make the whole subway-riding experience much more pleasant. I really hope some of the lucky riders put a few dollars in their cases!

What a wonderful idea. We need more beautiful things in life and I just heard something wonderful in Copenhagen. I cried throughout. God bless you all.

Made me cry too.

I started crying too! Music is so powerful! That was so amazingly beautiful. Their faces say it all, it must have been wonderful in person. Boy if we could do that all the time I think people might lighten up, of course, who will pay the symphony to walk around to random places, but one can dream!

I would have stayed on that train. The music was beautiful. If that was done on the subways in New York, maybe so many people wouldn't get mugged.

OMG! I started to cry on the very first note.. What music does to a soul is quite amazing. I need to get to the symphony!
