It's nice to know Gadling has so many readers with great taste! I just wanted to put in a word for Colorado, as I'm currently in Boulder, which suffered a devastating fire yesterday that's still burning.

PLEASE, if you're visiting, nearly the entire state is in red flag alert for extreme fire danger. That means no open fires, and for the love of god, don't throw your cigarettes out the window. Thousands of residents are currently displaced or homeless due to the numerous wildfires burning throughout the central and southern part of the state, not to mention the impact upon wildlife and habitat.

Please try and conserve water, as well, and try and give rangers and firefighters a break if you're visiting. They're working insane hours, and need all of the support and kindness they can get.
