@ D Clarke - I don't know which part of the US you live in, but the picture of the possum above looks exactly like the ones I have in the trees in my yard. I live in Louisiana.

@ Janice. D Clarke is making the point that opossums in Australia and New Zealand do not look like the opossums in the United States. Therefore, since the story is referring to opossums in Australia and New Zealand, they should use a picture of the possums from those countries and not the possums from the US.
