Dine At An A380-Inspired Restaurant
Love to fly? Sure. What if you could have the experience of traveling first class without the hassle of security lines? We'd like that even better. But when the question comes to "do you love airplane food?" or "do you fly because of the food?" the answer is almost always "no," unless, of course, you make a regular habit of first or business-class international travel.
But a new restaurant in China is making waves for marrying the luxury of first-class travel with a fine dining concept. The A380 restaurant is actually the second of its kind – the first is in Taipei – and is drawing regular crowds who come to be served by waitresses dressed like flight attendants in a fully recreated upper class cabin interior.
What do you think? Would this fly in the United States?
Thanks to BornRich for the tip.

I think that is a really great idea but I don't think it would fly in the United States. Perhaps in eclectic cities like Austin or Seattle might appreciate something like this!

I think that it is a GREAT idea ! As long as the food is first class, I do think that this would be a good idea in the U.S. !

thats a great idea....they should also show an inflight movie.....like they do on overseas flights...or if anybody feels sick from the food they can press a button on the table and a barfbag drops down....i wonder if the bathrooms have toilets that suck down like on a plane?....oh, and for entertainment....they can have a middle eastern waiter run through the restaurant yelling "allah akbar" and the customers can beat the crap out of him!!!...sound like a fun time? ala medival times....

Yes, I think it would work, but only in the larger metro areas like New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, etc. It would be fun to try something like this.

Lower the windows! Then purchase a high-tech computer! Then have a computer programmer program some disk that will show in each window an actual flight, or have the programmer simply make up a flight--or 12! The programmer could also program differing airport around the world with taxing, take-offs and landings!
Microsoft already has several programs that would make a good start!
Great idea---make it even more real!
