I moved to New York City from Chicago after spending three months in SE Asia (one in Thailand) and have been so frustrated by Manhattan's lack of quality Thai food. I look forward to trying these suggestions! Authentic thai food is amazing ... although it did take a lot of convining before my host family would allow me to eat the real spicy stuff that they enjoyed. Its true, Thai people are very skeptical as to whether Americans can handle their dishes!
