SkyMall Monday: Toilet Dog & Cat Water Bowl
Dogs and cats have an odd fascination with toilets. They try to drink from toilets, they fall into toilets and they are mesmerized by the sounds made when you flush toilets. Here at SkyMall Monday headquarters, we have one furry toilet drinker who hits the bowl hard when he's stressed. However, no pet owner wants to encourage that behavior because toilets are filled with bacteria and germs. Besides, pets have their own water bowls from which they should be drinking. Toilets are for deposits, not withdrawals. Until now, that is. If animals want to drink from toilets so badly, why not let them do it in a safe and decorative way? Thanks to SkyMall that dream has become a reality. The next time that your dog or cat tells you that they're thirsty simply direct them to the Toilet Dog & Cat Water Bowl.Think that toilets are for people? Believe that no one should drink from toilets unless we find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic hellscape? Well, while you feed your dog from your wearable water bowl, we'll be reading the product description:
Sure, you could decorate your home with paintings, furniture and sculptures, but those are far from clever. Having a toilet in the middle of your living room is just the conversation starter that your fancy parties need. Surely your pet won't be confused by the fact that they are permitted to drink from their small toilet but get yelled at when they drink from the toilet in the bathroom.A hilarious conversation starter and pet pleaser, this unique water bowl keeps your pet well hydrated and your home cleverly decorated.
Quench your pet's thirst for toilet water with this sanitary and attractive accessory that will look perfect in any home. Why have a ball when you can have a bowl (I'm so sorry)?

This would be a great gadget to put on the bar, filled with beer (or something stronger), about midnight of an alcohol-enhanced party. See who's first to drink from it.
Great pictures for a Facebook page.

I was just going to say I hope they don't make these for humans, but I think Bill beat me to the punch with a funnier line lol.

I love the SkyMall catalog!!! They always have the most unusual, cool stuff. Thank god I don't have a problem with my dogs wanting to drink from the toilet bowl, though. lol

This product is just tastless and gross - there is no reason to demean our feline and canine friends with such an unsuitable fountain. Besides it is only a very temporary fountain and is not a good choice as it contains so much water people may not change it every day for pets - if you want an automatic water fountain the ones that circulate the water while filtering are a much better and healthier choice. I have had bad experiences with Skymall and am returning a product - not related to this - that came in a completely different form and did not even turn on much less work - it is a $200+ item and I found a better form of the product for $39 in another catalog. Thi horrid "toilet fountain" could only be invented by some tasteless moron - it is probably also overpriced and you can get fountains of this type at Pet's Mart that are in good taste and fulfill your animal's needs.

Well, I like table-top water fountains. I bought one for our dining room table a while ago and before you could say, "NO!" to the cats, they were drinking out of it. So....I put it down on their eating area rug and they love it. I've tried expensive flowing water systems from the pet stores but they like my table top fountain the best. Now whenever I see them on sale, I buy a couple just to have on hand for them in case the one they are using dies of old age. They usually cost from $10 -$20 and they look really cute and different.
