I was in Vietnam January 1969 thru late January 1970 and living off the land a few times when we could not get resupplied deep in the jungles we had to make do with snakes, one tiger, buffalo, monkey, grubs, ants we would put a tin of jelly on the jungle floor with C-4 ball under the tin and wait til the piss ants completly covered it then light it up, that was the ultimate sweet and sour you will ever have. At times when we found a river we grenaded and ate Caimans(crockedile), fish whatever and all kept us going. The "Fuq It" frogs on the trees kept us entertained in times of stress but it was the most intense and beautifal place I have ever been.
