We have always trained our dogs to pee and poop on command which comes in very handy on a trip. All of our dogs were crate trained as well, except the one we have now and he just plain refuses to go into a crate. I'm not giving up hope, though. I agree with the phone number on the pet's tag, but it should be your cell number unless there will be someone at home the entire time you are on the road. Sig has all of his things from home put into the RV before we leave so he has his familiar bed, toys, etc. He loves to travel as much as we do. Oh, and if we plan to be out where we can't take him, we put him in day care. Its not too bad and doesn't happen often, but I'd rather do that than leave him in the RV or the car while we're spending an extended length of time somewhere.
