I am currently in Bogota and have an apartment here. This city has such great things to offer and is truly a great travel experience. Each time I return, I discover many great places, food and people. And I have never had a problem being from the U.S. while visiting Colombia. I have traveled by plane, bus, car, motorcycle and taxi to many cities in Colombia. The best thing about Colombia is that not many people from the U.S. have discovered the many things it offer. I hope the news media continues to report negatively about Colombia so the few North Americans who take advantage of the great things in Colombia can keep this to themselves. Oh, and by the way.....many many Colombians speak conversational English.
