It's easy to criticize Delta and other airlines but it is possible to find some good deals if you put in a little effort: This June I flew to India with my family using Delta miles - Got 4 tickets 80,000 miles each. Last year I flew to Seattle first class (!) - 4 seats, 40,000 miles each.
Sure, I took 15 minutes a couple of times a week for a few weeks but I ended up saving thousands of dollars. Totally worth it!

Airlines do have limited seating but agin if you do your homework you can get great deals. I use one card for everything I purchase even cable and phone payments. I just flew to Italy Envoy class ( First ) for 100,000 miles. That ticket retailed for $4500.00. I am already half way there for more travel. But again you have to do your homework and check months. Two weeks after I booked my FF miles it went from 50 K miles each way to 75K then later 100 K each way. You have to do the work and be flexable on dates.
