Super Mario flashmob takes over the Chicago, Illinois, Magnificent Mile
As you can see in the video, one man really enjoyed Nintendo's marketing efforts (although he had some trouble getting the moves down). The mobsters in the video are part of "Attack!", a company that organizes promotional flash mobs around the country.

Ace, is this for the launch of Super Mario 3DS ? Mario back with a tail is brilliant. Also, Tony, what are you on about? Mario Allstars is well old. If you haven't gotten used to the saving options on it by now you should probably leave the genius of Mario to the real fans.

Tony, you might want to check out the trailer for Super Mario 3DS to see what you're getting yourself in for before you discover another "not my individual levels problems" - http://www.tuppencemagazine.co.uk/super_mario_3ds.html

That whole thing looked totally pre-planned and rehearsed.

That might be because it was pre-planned and rehearsed. If you read the summery above the video it says "The mobsters in the video are part of "Attack!", a company that organizes promotional flash mobs around the country."

Don't pay any attention to the people who say you can't be a real fan if you aren't playing the current game or don't know the rules. I STILL play on my classic Nintendo console, my favorite game of all time, Mario II. It remains my all time favorite. And yes, unfortunately if you do lose at a particular level, it always flashes you back to the start of that world.

seems kinda lame - there must have been money involved to get 90 of those suckers to perform this - as for the ol guy , he's looks kinda perverted or should have been givin the boot - he kinda mess up the shot - but like i said the whole thing looked a bit lame - so what difference did it make
ez760 Nov 12th 2011 10:43AM

worst flash mob I have ever seen. That was really sad...
St_Urho Nov 12th 2011 11:01AM
Hmm, commercial flash mobs. Should be outlawed. We already have flash mobs raiding stores to steal. What will come next?????
St_Urho Nov 12th 2011 11:07AM
Well Rehearsed? Should be, was paid for. Commercial.

That has to be one of the funniest vids I've seen in ages. The old man made the entire show worth watching.

I gotta say I really loved Mario Tennis on N64. I never liked the characters at all really cause they seemed to be aimed towards preschoolers but as far as gameplay, nothing could beat em!
Jane Nov 12th 2011 2:15PM
To be honest with you, that was pretty sad and boring!
igwchb Nov 12th 2011 2:40PM
Somebody ought to have got him out of there, He looks like a idiot
Rich Nov 13th 2011 2:44AM
I love all of the old games too, but honestly, if you haven't got to grips with the save function by now...
My favorite, while we're on it, is Super Mario World on the SNES. Beating Bowser in his flying machine was one of the biggest rushes of my life.
Sad that the video was a corporate thing. I though they were just Mario lovers. In my imagined alternate version of the video, they are disgruntled plumbers strikers over pay in their own funny way, and that half way through, one of them breaks off to jump on the old dude's head, flip him upside down, and spin him into a never ending bounce between two fire hydrants.
