Kent,
Great article and it answered a question I've had for years, "why is the nose on the 757 so different from all other jets?".
A few days ago I flew an AA flight from Chicago to Beijing (AA 187) in a triple 7. The landing was so smooth that I couldn't tell when the trucks touched the runway. It felt as though we landed on cotton. I've been flying as a passenger for 50 years and this is only the second time I've experienced such a gentle landing. Great piloting!
Thanks so much,
Tom Gorton
