Nope. Sorry... going to totally disagree with you here. Years ago, I probably wouldn't have seen any good sense in a child harness, but we live in troubled times. Today is the first day of school here in Dallas, Texas. Today alone, two children under the age of 5 were killed by their father while on the way to school, one 5-year-old has gone missing, and in the past week there have been two incidences of attempted kidnappings off the street. Sorry, guys... is it embarrassing? Sure. But I'd rather suffer a little embarrassment, and my toddler arrive safely, with me, at our destination. Safe and sound. Not tortured, raped and murdered. Hold his hand? Absolutely... but what if you have four children to corral while traveling? Nannies? Babysitters? How much money do you yahoos make, annually? Because I certainly don't make enough to have travel-along help. Why don't we just commend the parents who've felt they needed an extra measure of security, knowing they most likely aren't abusive, neglectful, apathetic parents. We have plenty of those, too, here in North Texas.
