Having grown up and lived in the northern hemisphere (northern Norway) and spent several years on the ocean around Spitsbergen, I want to challenge the "global warming" theorist about the statement of polar bears being forced to "new" territories. Polar bears were a common sight on Spitsbergen in the late 60's and early 70's, and remember, that's when the same theorists claimed a new ice age on our front steps. Polar bears have always been a challenge for humans on Spitsbergen. People are normally carrying weapons when outside of supervised areas. Please blame not, even if it is sad that a young man lost his life.

Thank you so much for that information. I do remember an "ice age" coming warning when I was younger.
Thank you again for the info!
Cheers,
Elizabeth
