Hello, i'm a basque girl, and totally agree with the article, I live there, and don't really think there's oppression, but it is true, that the Spanish media don't help too much to make things easier, either the politicians, who I think they get worse the situation. The people who may think it's dangerous being in the Basque Country is just ignorant, because the North Part is totally different to another areas of Spain, and it worths visiting it. I'm happy with the election results in the Basque Country, and I hope in the future, independent or not, there's more pluralism about politics, and the new generation learn better the basque history to understand the reasons why happen things, and not just ban it. Hurts or not, we are all here because of the history, so we shouldn't forget anything, but yes be able to move on.
