Iranian aircraft crash caught on new video
The new footage gives some insight into what the final moments of any plane crash must be like, a dizzying array of motion, confusion and terror. It's enough to make one consider taking a long, quiet break from air travel.

You're an asshole.

The Iranian government is responsible for many U.S. deaths during our time in Iraq, so if one of their aircraft goes down that's just too bad. And I agree, until they stop killling U.S soldiers and stop trying to build nuclear bombs, the more of their soldiers/airmen/sailors that bite the dust the better...

You are disgusting, seriously what is wrong with you, how dare you say something horrific like that
cc1111 Jun 4th 2011 2:42PM
Whether or not this is an accurate story or not, so many of you are so inappropriate! Just because someone is Iranian does not mean that they are evil, just like not all Americans are good. And it is so wrong to say someone deserves to die, especially without any proven crime. Shame on you.

it's a military plane, not a commercial liner. there's a huge difference sweetheart. the tragedy would have been if it were commercial. innocent people from any culture don't deserve to die... military? killing our friends, neighbors, loved ones? YUP! THEY DO! wake up already.
John Jun 4th 2011 3:22PM
If this was about civilians I would agree with you.
But this is about Iranian military personel on a military aircraft. The last that I heard, Iran is our enemy. While we are not officially at war with them, Iran supplies and suports our enemies who we are at war with which makes Iran a fair target. The author of this article writes as though we and Iran are friends and we are not. While I will not sit here and gleefully cheer on what circumstances brought that plane down and it's occupants to their demise like some here have, I will also not mourn them and I refuse to call it tragic. It's just one less plane full of the enemy that we will have to be concerned about.
I am, however, more concerned about that fact that all the aircraft in the video are American made and that we have not figured out how to shoot them down yet.

AS LONG AS "AHAB THE ARAB" AND A HOST OF OTHER "UNDESIRABLES" WERE IN THAT PLANE, I SAY SO WHAT?
Paul Jun 5th 2011 9:55AM
Iranians are not arabs. Your statement is akin to calling Americans, Polish. But don't let facts get in the way of blind hatred.

screw them there our enemies

If you notice, the Tupolev is missing a tail, just like the one lost in Swiss airspace in 2002. If you recall, that plane was cut in half by a DHL flight due to an ATC error over Swiss airspace.
F-4 Phantoms were still in service over southern Germany in 2002. If this is indeed the crash we are observing, then we are watching the last moments of a plane full of Siberian schoolchildren on their way to a holiday in Spain. R.I.P.

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks to me like the aircraft was in a flat spin. Your not going to ever get into one of those during normal everyday aircraft operations. Could have been a test pilot, a major control malfunction, or just a case of someone screwing around, and getting in deeper than they and the aircraft could handle.

Good crash, the only good iranian military personel are dead personel.

To the Iranian who said there are many Iranians who don't support the theocracy going on in Iran - very true! Please don't use the same brush to paint those good and honest Iranians who firmly believe in democracy. btw those so called religious leaders in Iran have made billions in dollars, mansions, cars etc. at the expense of the Iranian people and have perpetuated the idea of suicide in the name of religion, which is totally against the Koran as well as the killing of innocents. They have polluted that holy book in the name of their own self interests - and G_d will judge them for their indifference to what is right. The reason we went after Iraq is because Bush couldn't spell or know the difference between Iran and Iraq - got the last two letters confused. Iran is the big trouble maker - because the theocracy keeps focusing on USA as the evil doer to take pressure off of themselves - it is an old theme for sure. With Hitler blaming the Jews, with the Democrats blaming the GOP and the GOP blaming the Democrats (which is why those idiots can't get anything done).

Take a long quiet break from air travel after seeing a video of a military plane crashing??? really?I honestly think, that without 5 minutes of journalism training,I could do as good or better than some of these idiots. Could that be an attempt to sensationalise? Anyone knows that getting in your car and driving down the street is more dangerous than flying commercial. Comparing that to getting into an Iranian military jet is BEYOND stupid.
rozy Jun 6th 2011 8:39PM
ok?... and the tragedy is... what? another Iranian can't fly? All this means to me is that the American Air Force has nothing to worry about from the iranians. the real tragedy is, it's one of our older planes dieing... and why do they have them again?? well now the pilot can get his 21 virgins... oh wait, they raped all their women, HA, no virgins!!! T.S.

Question: Why does the Iranian navy have glass-bottom boats?
Answer: So they can see their air force.

It's good to see what passes as journalism today is the equivalent of a Facebook post with a YouTube video. In fact, I can do just as good a job:
"On May 1, 2001, 'klaatu42' discovered that our canine friends can in fact take part in everyday conversation with their human counterparts. Experts studying the video have determined that dogs are often reluctant to talk with members of another species, but may open up when the subject of food is present.
Watch the video below to see for yourself.
