NO, NO, NO! Every veteran knows you do not "celebrate" a battle...even one from 150 years ago. Commemorate? Yes. But there's nothing to celebrate in seeing your buddy get his head blown off. War is not entertainment...it is not a video game. Come one, journalistic America, listen to your veterans and historians. Get real. War (including this civil war sesquicentennial) is not to be "celebrated!" Nuff said!

You are entirely correct. It was a slip of the keyboard, which happens sometimes when writing for the 24-hour news cycle of a popular blog. Embarrassing, though, especially considering that I'm a Civil War researcher!
