Video of the Day: Zombie Walk in Columbus, Ohio
People like to argue over the best time to visit places. You'll hear plenty of people recommend Paris in the spring, wax poetic on the Alaskan winter and suggest New England in autumn. For our money, however, it's all about Columbus, Ohio during the zombie apocalypse. Columbus hosted it's seemingly annual Zombie Walk this past weekend. It's hard to tell what's happening in this video, but it looks like faux military personnel are fighting against some zombies with pretty impressive makeup. Not exactly your typical tourist attraction but a pretty amusing activity nonetheless.
So, the next time someone asks you about the best time to visit central Ohio, let them know that mid-May is the time to go. Go for the temperate spring weather, stay for the end of mankind.

How is it disgusting? It was so poorly done it was like a comedy. But entertaining none the less!

I thought zombies were already dead!

This is fine to joke around or to have fun or for the purpose of a Production...But, to do this in public streets instead of a park or field is not proper. Most would not understand and this may cause problems for real Productions in the near future.
Cheers!

I'm from Columbus, and the purpose of this is what?

I think they are making fun of/doing a tribute to the movie Zombieland since the main character comes from Columbus, Ohio.....maybe I'm wrong, but its just a guess....

GEE, THEY ARE ALSO IN OUR WHITE HOUSE...

Well it's kind of silly and poorly done but it's a little amatuer thing that they have fun with. Nobody's really getting hurt and it's not going to influence anyone to do anything bad. There's worse online and on video games. It's no worse then the running of the bulls in Pamplona. Now I don't get the attraction in that and people do get hurt.

I'm not sure if this is the dumbest and most tasteless thing I've ever seen - but it's close.
Clearly, there isn't much to do in Columbus, Ohio.

I live in a small town south of Columbus, Ohio and we also do an annual Zombie Walk. Ours is to raise money for our local food pantry. You dress up and bring canned goods then we walk through town. After the walk a local band plays music. It's fun and for a good cause.
Mike Barish May 17th 2011 10:43PM
This is, in fact, a charity event. It accepts donations for local food banks.

The purpose of this is to be frieken awesome and not some boring goody-two-shoes who doesn't know how to have fun! \m/

Zombies have already taken over down here in Alabamistan. Crap mouthed, lard bottomed, bible thumpin inbreds: bless they haw-warts! Gawd love 'em and their illegitimate offspring.

Stupid waste of time, daylight, and just plain out bull. Just because a bunch of people get together to do something and likes it does not mean it is right or that it makes good sense. STUPID!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My opinion is that your comment was a waste of time and made no sense!!!

I fail to see the connection between zombies and a charity. I felt embarassed just watching this.....
