Great article Matthew! Regardless of what religion you practice or what type of trips and activities you enjoy, Israel is an an awe-inspiring country and an amazing place to visit. You really drove the point home! Although it is such a small plot of land, there is so much to see... each city has its own story to tell and adventures to offer. If you're eager to cover as much territory as possible, I recommend hiring a tour guide with private car to be most efficient. Don't be shy about asking locals for help... whether for directors or restaurant recommendations. Most Israeli's speak great english and take great pride in showing off their country. Tip: make sure you bring a hat and drink plenty of water while touring in the summer. The desert sun & heat can be brutal :)
